Kelly began her dance training at the age of 3, when she started attending classes at Tanwood - here she stayed for 17 years

From the age of 4-19 years, Kelly participated in many dance competitions up and down the country. She was successful in winning many medals and trophies, including awards for her own choreography.

Kelly also qualified on multiple occasions to dance at 'The All England Dance Finals' - Saddlers Wells, where she was a medal winner.

Alongside performing competitivly Kelly also performed in many professional shows and pantomimes, one of which she was chosen to take on the role of lead girl, starring alongside Paul Bradley (Eastenders, Holby City), Juliette Kaplan (Last of the summer wine), Daniel Boys (Nativity Rocks!, Any dream will do)

Kelly also had the oppurtunity to take part in some television work including: Teachers (Channel 4), The 20th Century Roadshow with Alan Titmarsh (BBC) and Dancing School a fly on the wall documentary for ITV.

​

After leaving school Kelly went on to study a full time foundation dance course at Swindon College, here she was inspired and priviledged to train with some of the best teachers in the country (Voyd, Lisa Aldridge, Pete Purdy). Whilst in her final year Kelly began auditioning for prestigious dance colleges in London and was delighted with her success in receiving various offers including Laines Theatre Arts which had always been a dream.

Although Kelly absolutely loved being on stage performing & competing, whilst studying in London Kelly decided that she didn't want to spend long working contracts away from home and so she decided to focus on the teaching side of dance - here she could give Children the opportunity to experience the many amazing opportunities she did during her dance training.

Kelly founded MKDA by teaching dance clubs at the local primary schools and then progressed onto small studio classes but gave MKDA a fresh re-launch in 2014 when purchasing private studios to home MKDA

With fantastic support the school continues to grow year on year with more students entering from the wings!

Kelly is excited for the future of MKDA and hopes to inspire and teach some dancing stars of the future
